The Conejo Valley Days Kick-Off Picnic and Classic Car Show is an annual tradition that brings awareness to the community that the festival is right around the corner. Families and friends come together, relax and enjoy a day that includes a Classic Car Show, toe tapping entertainment, mouth watering food, games for the young folk, and a chance to meet the Grand Marshal Race candidates. The Picnic, presented by the Rotary Club of Conejo Valley, has been held at various parks, but now is located at The Lakes on Thousand Oaks Boulevard, Thousand Oaks. This is the first opportunity, each year, to buy the official Conejo Valley Days Badge.
The Classic Car Show spotlights the classic cars of the past, present and not too distant future. Children have fun at the petting zoo and game booths and no one goes hungry as local non-profit groups provide everything from tri-tip sandwiches and hamburgers to futuristic ice cream!
Entertainment, featuring local bands and dance groups, round out the afternoon. As the day ends, a good time has been had by one and all at the annual Conejo Valley Days Kick-Off Picnic and Classic Car Show.
