February 15, 2008 - Wells Fargo Bank, through their office in Westlake Village, has agreed to allow the use of their stagecoach and horses for the Conejo Valley Days Parade. Their stagecoach is symbolic of what our valley's heritage is all about. It will be a great addition to an already great parade that is being planned by the Kiwanis Club of Thousand Oaks. The Conejo Valley Days Executive Board thanks Wells Fargo Bank for supporting the 2008 Conejo Valley Days.
February 11, 2008 - Time Warner Cable, through their office in Camarillo, has agreed to be a FLAGSHIP sponsor through a generous in-kind donation for the 2008 Conejo Valley Days. As a FLAGSHIP sponsor, Time Warner Cable will enjoy an invitation to our Grand Opening Celebration, a car in the CVD Parade, the largest banner at all CVD events, a two premium booths in our Parade of Products tent, and multiple promotional advertisements - all the while giving back to their community. With this sponsorship Time Warner Cable's slogan, "The Power of You," will allow our promotional message to reach farther than it has ever reached before. January 25, 2008 - The Home Depot, with a store in Newbury Park and new location being proposed for Thousand Oaks off Hampshire Road, has agreed to be a BRONZE sponsor for the 2008 Conejo Valley Days. As a BRONZE sponsor, The Home Depot will enjoy a banner at all CVD events, a premium booth in our Parade of Products tent, and promotional advertisements - all the while providing much needed funds to support Conejo Valley Days. With this sponsorship The Home Depot illustrates that their slogan, "You can do it. We can help," means that they're supportive of community events. December 18, 2007 - The City of Thousand Oaks City Council voted unanimously to approve a one-time award of $20,000 from the City's CEEF grant emergency reserves fund to assist with the Conejo Valley Activities Corporation's initial upfront costs to plan and execute the 2008 Conejo Valley Days. This grant is in addition to the $15,000 already granted in November and demonstrates the City Councils commitment to ensuring that this community-spirited festival continues not only this year, but for years to come. A special thanks goes out to the Thousand Oaks City Council for their generous contribution.
December 6, 2007 - The Conejo Recreation and Park District Board of Directors voted unanimously to approve a one-time award of $15,000 to assist the Conejo Valley Activities Corporation with startup costs required to plan and execute the 2008 Conejo Valley Days. The request for the grant was initiated by the City of Thousand Oaks, but the Conejo Recreation and Park District didn't hesitate to pitch in immediately and provide us with some additional, much needed funds. A special thanks goes out to the Board of Directors of the Conejo Recreation and Park District for their support for Conejo Valley Days.
November 27, 2007 - The City of Thousand Oaks City Council voted unanimously to approve a one-time award of $15,000 from the City's CEEF grant emergency reserves fund to assist with the Conejo Valley Activities Corporation's initial upfront costs to plan and execute the 2008 Conejo Valley Days. This was a difficult decision for the City Council as this fund is limited and many organizations request grants.
